“Professor Matt’s Microeconomics class was excellent, and a lot of that came down to his teaching. He explained tricky concepts like supply and demand and elasticity in a clear, easy to follow way, and used real world examples that made everything click. He was clearly passionate about the subject, which made the class engaging. The course was also well organized. Topics built on each other logically, so the material never felt overwhelming or random. His tests and assignments matched what we actually learned in class, so studying felt useful instead of stressful. Overall, Matt created a class where I felt comfortable asking questions and actually understood the material by the end. I’d definitely recommend this class and this professor to other students.”
“I believe Mr. Eaton made it very clear what was expected of us during this course. He always gave us a heads up about upcoming assignments, tests and what we needed to study for the midterm and final. Furthermore, everything we learned and did in this course was related to economics and required us to use critical thinking skills to solve problems.”

“I loved how this course built ideas off of each other and taught everything in a way that made you understand the connections. This class definitely improved my analytical skills, and Matt Eaton did a great job of encouraging us to think critically while still helping us through everything and guiding us as a professor should.”
“Matt is a great teacher. He can clearly communicate the necessary material and gets directly to the point. Class time is not wasted and we learn all of the material necessary. He is openly available for help inside and outside of class and the class is very open to asking questions at any point. He is an excellent teacher and I wish all my teachers could communicate as clearly as him.”
“Matt is very good at grabbing student’s attention. He does a good job of balancing cracking jokes and relating the examples to college students, but knowing when it’s time to get more serious about economics. The class average on exams is always high, and I believe this is partially because he makes students clearly understand the topic and because he is generally liked in the class.”
“Mr. Eaton himself was one of the best teachers I have had in college. Teaches well writes everything out and goes into detail with you about the problem sets.”
“Mr. Eaton is one of the best professors I’ve ever had. He is so helpful and intentional with every single one of their students. He actually wants to make sure they understand the content rather than just zipping through to get them out of the class.”
“I liked this class a lot. I’m actually going to minor in Economics after this class! He was really easy to communicate with, and always willing to answer any questions. Very approachable!”
“GOAT teacher. I have such an interest in economics after this class. Presents the information very well and makes every topic seem simple.”

“He really helped us understand microeconomics. In high school I never was good at econ and figured I would just never understand it for the rest of my life, but now I actually enjoy it and really understand it. He is just really good at connecting econ to real world examples that really helps me to understand.”
“He communicated very well, answered all questions, and is very easy to talk to and ask for help. He clearly outlines in the beginning of the course the structure and timeline of the class. He does everything he can to help the students out and is very understanding.”
“Mr. Eaton was very easy to talk to and very helpful with any questions. He brought a sense of understanding that we are all living lives, too. Awesome teacher.”

“By far the best professor I have had so far! He lets us know of any upcoming assignments, quizzes, or tests way ahead of time and gives us a great amount of time to complete things to our best ability. The way he explains concepts and gives examples is very effective because he connects it to real world things that we understand. Any question asked he explains it in such a helpful way that benefits each student tremendously. I am very comfortable asking for help because he is very eager to help each student. He gives us beyond the proper tools to succeed on exams and sets what to expect very early on. This course has made me excited to take Macro and sparked my interest in the field of economics!”
“Mr. Eaton was extremely organized when it came to our course. He communicated very well with us as students, whether it was a change in course material or due date, he always let us know as soon as possible. He is also a very understanding and compassionate professor, something about the way he teaches just shows that he truly cares about his students and how they do in his class. I had him for an 8:00 am MWF, and I never dreaded coming to his class, it is actually the one class that I truly enjoy going to. He also makes the most of our class time, he does move kind of fast, but he always posts the notes before class and it is word for word of what he says during his lectures. Even though he goes kind of fast, he is always very sure to answer any questions that we have.”
